Interhouse competitions are held on Saturday afternoons. Students keenly participate in them with the aim of winning the coveted ‘Cock Trophy’ for their house. In the bargain, they come on stage, shedding inhibitions. Competitions include elocution, quiz, recitation, debate, singing, dance, dumb charade, drawing & painting, treasure hunt, team games etc.
Points are scored by each group and the house that scores the maximum, hoists the house flag with pride at the end of each month.
Every student is encouraged to take part in these activities and as a result they overcome stage fright, develop self confidence and also learn to accept success and failure in their stride. They learn life skills, which help them in their career.
The intramural committee organises a plethora of competitive
programmes, which are keenly contested by house members. The students develop leadership qualities and organising capacities.
