The school is an active member of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. This scheme presents students with an individual challenge and helps them to develop their personality. Through a balanced non competitive programme of voluntary activities, students between 14 and 18 years of age are given ample opportunities to develop personal qualities like compassion, self-reliance, perseverance, courage etc. They should undertake activities in the four areas namely Service, Adventure, Skills & Interest and Physical Education.
Our long association with this scheme has benefited many a student in our school, as the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards have gained them better chances in their competitive examinations and placements. The school has organised two national camps for award leaders of
DEAS.
