ACADEMIC PROGRAMME - SCHOOL TERM

The school is
affiliated to Council for the Indian School Certificate
Examinations, New Delhi upto X (ICSE) and to the Karnataka
State Pre - University Board at the +2 level. The medium of
instruction is English. The school admits both boys and girls
to all classes, based on their performance in a written test.
For I PUC admission is based on performance in X Std
board exam.

Students’ performance is evaluated on Trimester basis through
3 unit tests and 3 assessments, spread through the academic year
from June to April, for classes I to VIII. For IX & X we
follow ICSE module and at plus two, Karnataka PUC Programme.

The academic year is divided into two semesters-
1. June to September and
2. November to April.
The school remains closed for mid-term vocation in the month
of October. However, this schedule may vary for students
taking Board Examinations.

The academic work is supervised at three levels by Principal,
Vice - Principals and a team of three Academic Supervisors.
The three Academic Supervisors take charge of primary (I to
V), high school (VI to X) and +2 levels, separately.

According to ICSE syllabus, the school offers English as first
language and Kannada or Hindi as second language. French is
also offered as 2nd language at +2 lever . The
other subjects are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
History & civics, Geography /Environmental education and
Computer Applications/Environmental Science/Physical Education
/ Art.

At plus two level (PUC) English is the first language and
Kannada or Hindi or French is the second language. The
subjects offered in the science stream are Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics & Biology (PCMB), physics , chemistry ,
Mathematics & Computer Science (PCMC) and Economics ,
Accountancy , Business Studies & computer Science (EABC).

COMMENCEMENT
OF NEW ACADEMIC YEAR
Normally the academic year
of the school starts from June and it closes in the month of
March.

CORRESPONDENCE
|
|
Students should write one letter every week to their parents
or guardians. They also allowed to send E-mail though only to
parents. Parents/guardians are not permitted to correspond
directly with any member of the staff. All correspondence
should be addressed to Principal. Letters to wards should not
be sent by registered post, because the local post office
doesn't have the facilities to deliver such letters in the
school.
